Job Summary: The Business
Analyst – Supply Chain Management will support Sucafina East African companies
through business process mapping, design and standardization. The incumbent
will document current end-to-end business processes in Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi,
Kenya & Tanzania. Provide analysis and comparison between companies. Map
performance against industry ‘best practices’. Gather future business
requirements in conjunction with profit centre managers and heads of
departments. Provide Supply Chain Management expertise to design business
processes and future IT business solutions in integration with origination
processes, primary processing, exports, sales, costing and financial
functionalities. Assist the organization in becoming more process-driven and
lean.
Analyst – Supply Chain Management will support Sucafina East African companies

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Gathering, analyzing and documenting
business processes and business requirements based on current and future
state practices - Conducting validation sessions with heads
of departments and subject matter experts to ensure requirements are
appropriately captured - Acquiring approval for business
requirement documents - Identifying and addressing issues and gaps
in future business requirements - Facilitating business process design and
driving process improvements with subject matter experts - Driving standardization and process and
solution commonality across multiple Profit Centres - Assisting in defining project schedule by
providing accurate task duration estimates - Providing expertise and best practices in
Supply Chain Management - Communicating between business and future
project technical resources to ensure that business requirements are
interpreted correctly into system requirements - Being a change agent in the organization
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience:
Experience:
- The applicant must hold a relevant degree
level qualification - Six sigma certification
- Skilled in negotiating, decision making
and conflict resolution processes within a large group and multi-cultural
environment - Deep knowledge of business analysis
modeling techniques and methods - Expert in process mapping, documentation,
analysis, and redesign skills - Excellent meeting facilitation skills
(including virtual meetings) - Excellent written and verbal communication
skills - Ability to travel for a significant
proportion of the project - Experience with commodity supply chain
management - Understanding of purchasing and inventory
related financial concepts - Understanding of software development
lifecycle and deliverables in each of its phases - Previous participation in ERP or large
systems implementations, preferably in BA role with emphasis on supply
chain. - Experience of inventory, production and
warehouse chain management - Experience of internal controls in supply
chain management - Experience in systems implementations
- Knowledge of agricultural commodities
