Affairs Coordinator
Ugandan non-governmental organization dedicated to providing services and
conducting research on HIV/AIDS care and prevention related to mother-to-child
transmission of HIV.
Affairs Officer will provide assistance to the Regulatory Affairs Coordinator
to ensure effective monitoring, evaluation and enlisting compliance to approved
study protocols, procedures and quality systems and practices. The holder of
this position will be accountable to the MUJHU Regulatory Affairs Coordinator
and work closely with the various study teams (Investigator and Study
Coordinator)
Support
development and quality control management of all essential regulatory
documents
Review
of study documents and identify areas of non -compliance.
Realtime
review of participant consents
Maintenance
of research source and essential documents.
Ensure
timely research submissions.
Compliance
support to other institutions whose studies go through MUJHU.
Submission
and follow up communication with the local IRBs regarding protocol submissions
Ensure
compliance with regulations set by the Institutional Review Boards and other
local and international Regulatory bodies.
Train
and track research staff required trainings based on local, international and
sponsor requirements.
Participate
in protocol team trainings and meetings
The
applicant must be a registered health professional (e.g. nurse/midwife,
clinical officer or related qualification)
Three years
of working experience in a busy research institution setting.
Prior
experience with clinical or implementation science research would be an added
advantage. The applicant should be computer literate especially with Microsoft
Office packages.
The
desired person must be someone who pays attention to detail, able to multi –
task and willing to work for long hours including weekends whenever the need
arises.
The
person should possess good communication and interpersonal skills and must be
an excellent team player.
The
ideal candidate should also be passionate about HIV treatment and prevention
among children and women as well as families affected by HIV/AIDS and related
morbidities.
