Job Summary: The
Resource Engineer – Telecom will be tasked with site surveys, installations in
accordance with the Scope of Work provided, proper material dismantling and
packaging etc
Resource Engineer – Telecom will be tasked with site surveys, installations in
accordance with the Scope of Work provided, proper material dismantling and
packaging etc
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Physical
site Installation in accordance with the scope of work. - Send
proper site installation pictures and screen shots of the configuration
per scope of work indicated for a particular site. - Carry
out material Accountability and submit material-usage Reports. - Commission
equipment and cutover configured services. - Cooperate
and work well with customer supervising Engineer. - Participate
in site inspection and Acceptance by the customer. - Dismantling
which includes: - Capture
and send pictures before Dismantling material still on tower or entire
unit for RBS. - Proper
Material Dismantling and recovery from site to office warehouse. - Materials
Accountability in line with scope of work done as well as Capturing and
sending Pictures after dismantling and Packaging. - Ensure
that material is returned to warehouse; return of GRN, Gate pass and a
copy of signed off pictures by the customer’s warehouse controller.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The
applicant must hold a Diploma, degree or equivalent in a relevant
discipline i.e. Telecom Engineering, and any other related disciplines. - One
year of experience in the telecom field i.e. experience in rigging work
preferably with a rigging certificate. - Computer
knowledge; General computer knowledge as well as ability to operate ISDP
or be willing to learn. - Previous
experience in installation of Huawei transmission and wireless Equipment - Must
own a proper functioning smart phone (Android version 4.0 and above 2 GB
RAM, 5.5”, a-GPS, CPU-Quad Core 1.3 GHz, 3G technology) with good camera,
ability to use social media services for work i.e Whatsapp, e-mail etc - Must
own a full set of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) i.e. safety shoes,
harness, overall, helmet, toolkit (with spanner set, cutter, pulley, rope,
screw drivers, crimping tool, etc)
Personal Competencies:
- Awareness
and adherence to EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) standards. - Ability
to interpret basic TE installation
plans/designs - Strong
Team player. - Real
time reporting skills via Whatsapp and any other media availed. - Analytical
and project management skills. - Ability
to perform under tight deadlines. - Strong
verbal and written communication skills
