Director
Financing Board (HESFB) is a body Corporate established by an Act of
Parliament, number 2 of 2014, to provide both Loans and Scholarships to Ugandan
Students to pursue Higher Education. The objective of the Loan Scheme is to
increase equitable access to Higher Education in Uganda and also support
qualified students who may not afford the cost of Higher Education.
Communications Officer will develop and manage the overall Communications and
Marketing function of the Board and be the spokesperson of HESFB/Board through
the Executive Director. The Communications officer will use a range of media
and other communication and ICT tools to sustain a good image and brand through
organised campaigns and activities.
- Develop
the Board communications and marketing strategy including profiling the
activities of the Board - Design
and execute promotional campaigns and events such as press conferences and
exhibitions. - Design
promotional materials that capture relevant and up to date information
with a view of increasing public awareness on the activities of the Board. - On
behalf of the Board, prepare to appear on interview with the media, and in
some cases prepare representative to participate in interviews and other
public appearances. - Co-ordinate
the marketing and social responsibility aspect of the Board through
planned publicity strategies and campaigns. - Dealing
with inquiry from the public, press and partners - On
quarterly and annual basis, prepare reports on your activities and also
participate in the preparation of progress reports - Designing,
writing presentations, press releases, articles, leaflets, Journals,
publicity brochures, information for official use, website and promotional
videos. - Responsible
for managing the Board resources center. - Perform
any other duties assigned by the supervisor.
- The
applicant must hold an honours degree in Mass Communication, Development
Studies, Social Sciences and any other related discipline from a
recognized University/Institution - Master’s
degree in the relevant field is an added advantage - At
least five years of working experience in similar position in a recognised
institution. - Excellent
communication skills both orally and in writing - Excellent
interpersonal skills - Good
IT and presentation skills - Initiative
and creativity - Strong
knowledge and understanding of current trends in digital and social media
