Job Summary: The Security
Coordinator will be in charge of security operations at Lake Albert operations
sites, within and around the office premises as well as the expatriates’
residences, and transit security arrangement; ensure the security of company
property, employees/residents are safe by implementing proper security plans
and programs.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Ensuring
    detailed security deployment procedures for Kampala and operations sites.
  • Coordinate
    with police stations and other security organs, fire stations and
    hospitals.
  • Ensure
    and inspect serviceability of the firefighting equipment and fire tenders
    periodically.
  • Inspect
    entry and exit of the personnel, materials and equipment at the start and
    end of duty.
  • Tasked
    with monitoring of security equipment and ensuring that they’re in good
    working condition and report the same to your line manager.
  • Support
    the Security Manager in planning, developing and implementing various
    security plans and programs, e.g. crisis management, physical security,
    information protection, emergency responses and incident management.
  • Prepare
    regular security and safety reports to management.
  • Update
    staff on the various security situations in the country and the region.
  • Develop
    and maintain a list of appropriate police jurisdiction contacts.
  • Work
    closely with the Administration team to implement security and various
    safety improvements for company assets, employees/residents and visitors.
  • Provide
    training to all security personnel and provide standard orders for the security
    procedures.
  • Perform
    any other duties as may be assigned by superior.



Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
  • The
    ideal candidate for the CNOOC Uganda Security Coordinator career placement
    should preferably hold a Bachelor’s degree or above in security,
    management, strategic planning or related.
  • Five
    years of experience working in security –related areas with ample training.
  • Knowledge
    of Security Coordination and Management.
  • Incident
    investigation and root cause analysis.
  • Broad
    knowledge and understanding of oil & gas E&P.
