Job Summary: The Organisation
Development Manager will actively contribute to the design and delivery of
Talent and organisational development strategies and the management of change
in support of the organisation’s strategic and operational plans, providing
information, advice and services as required. Working with teams across the
Fund to support continuous organisational performance improvement which helps
the Fund achieve its strategic business objectives.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Working
    with the business to develop the design and architecture of the
    organisation. Advising on, business specific OD interventions e.g.
    organisation restructures, Change Management, Performance Management.
    Understanding and developing the health of the organisation and the
    culture.
  • To
    contribute research, analysis and ideas to the development of the Fund’s
    HR strategy in order to ensure that organisational development initiatives
    are appropriately integrated and aligned with strategic and business
    goals.
  • To
    design and deliver OD and change management strategies, processes and
    interventions that support the Fund’s ambition to be a high performing
    organisation; to include initiatives which foster a high-performance
    culture, where valuing learning, continuous improvement and diversity are
    the norm.
  • To
    support specific performance improvement initiatives, eg through the
    implementation of a new behavioural competency framework and 360 degree
    feedback process.
  • To
    identify opportunities for performance improvement through, for example,
    undertaking internal diagnosis, process/system reviews in order to
    understand barriers and possible solutions; conducting external research
    into good practice and new ideas.
  • Develop
    the Fund’s approach to talent management and succession planning and to
    coordinate the contributions of key stakeholders to ensure effective
    implementation.
  • To
    work with line managers on the design and delivery of appropriate and
    relevant Personal Development Plans for their staff; to commission and
    evaluate agreed internally-delivered interventions and to ensure best use
    of the Fund’s development budgets.
  • Develop
    coaching, mentoring and secondment schemes to support staff development
    and the achievement of Personal Development Plans.
  • Lead
    on the development of a staff skills and knowledge database in order to
    maximise the diverse talents of the organisation.
  • Manage
    the corporate induction programme.
  • Managing
    both the internship programme and the Graduate Management Trainee (GMT)
    Programme
  • Design
    and run Employee Opinion Surveys, enroll the Fund to participate in the
    FUE Employer of the Year Award (EYA) survey and run all employee surveys
    for quality assurance of medical services, meals, accommodation, sports
    days, annual staff conferences, end of year staff parties and other staff
    and company events and activities.



Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
  • The
    ideal candidate for the NSSF Organisation Development Manager job
    opportunity must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources plus a
    Postgraduate qualification in Human Resources Management or a related
    qualification.
  • A
    minimum of eight years of working experience in a busy HR environment, 4
    of which spent in a similar role.
  • Ability
    to execute high-impact Talent and learning strategies that enhance people
    and business performance
  • Results
    focused; a consultative leadership style that builds high-performing teams
    across multi-disciplined projects that consistently meet targets and
    realise organisational benefits.
  • Ability
    to collaborate with HR Business Partners and line leaders
  • Commercially
    aware; proven ability to work with multiple stakeholders up to board
    level, and manage responsibility for large budgets.
  • Excellent
    interpersonal, organisational and influencing skills and ability to
    facilitate across all levels of business.
  • Skilled
    communicator through written reporting and verbal presentation
