About BRAC Uganda Scholarship Program:
BRAC Uganda in partnership with
The MasterCard Foundation implements a national level secondary scholarship
programme targeting academically talented yet economically marginalized young
Ugandans. Over a period of eight years, the programme will enable 5,000
students to complete secondary school and transition into higher education.
Job Summary: The IT
Officer will provide IT support for the Scholars transitional process.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Ensure
    smooth, efficient and effective IT support including software
    administration related to management of the programme key components
    through MIS.
  • Setting
    up, maintaining and trouble shooting of the Programme IT software and
    hardware.
  • Updating
    data and information for the scholarship programme MIS in respect to the
    Programme key components.
  • Supporting
    the innovation, piloting and application of IT software associated with
    the key programme components. Explore IT training opportunities and
    support to end users including programme staff as may be required.



Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 
  • The
    ideal candidate for the BRAC International IT Officer job placement must
    hold a Bachelor’s degree in education with computer science, Information
    Technology or a related discipline.
  • At
    least five years’ experience in a similar position. Should poses knowledge
    on computer applications, programming, software & hardware repair
    & troubleshooting.
  • Excellent
    problem solving ability and good innovative ideas.
  • Excellent
    written and verbal communication skills, good computer skills &
    effective interpersonal skills.
  • Previous
    experience working in a multicultural environment with diverse internal
    & external stakeholders.
