TransAfrica Bank Ltd., (TABL).
Treasury will coordinate the overall management of the bank’s balance sheet
through:-
- Promoting,
controlling and coordinating bank’s treasury business within ALCO and
regulatory guidelines - Managing,
controlling and continuously upgrading of the bank’s risk management
strategies
- Providing
leadership and guidance to departmental staff and coordinating activities
within the unit to ensure achievement of the Bank’s goals in compliance
with internal policies and procedures as well as regulatory and statutory
requirements. - Ensuring
judicious management of the bank’s liquidity and market risks. - Building
client relationships to provide quality customer service and growing new
business opportunities. - Building
and managing relationships with Treasurers of other banks and key
stakeholders. - Monitoring
and reporting market trends and implications on the bank’s business. - Continually
reassessing the bank’s policies and practices relating to the treasury
unit and championing the articulation and implementation of any necessary
changes in line with best practices.
- The
applicant must hold a Bachelor’s Degree from a recognised university. - ACI
dealing certification (required). - A
relevant post graduate or professional business qualification (ACCA, CPA)
is desirable. - At
least ten years of cognate experience with five years in treasury and 3
years in managerial/supervisory capacity. - Knowledge
of treasury and financial markets. - Thorough
understanding of banking across segments, with ability to lead strategy on
future initiatives. - Risk
measurement, interpretation and analysis especially market and liquidity
risk. - Strong
leadership and communication skills. - Excellent
customer relationships management skills.
