Finance Coordinator (CFC)
(DRC) is a private, independent, humanitarian organization working on all
aspects of the refugee cause in more than 36 countries throughout the world.
The aim of DRC is to protect refugees and internally displaced persons (IDPs)
against persecution and to promote durable solutions to the problems of forced
migration, on the basis of humanitarian principles and human rights. DRC works
in accordance with the UN Conventions on Refugees and the Code of Conduct for
the ICRC and NGOs in Disaster Relief.
will provide accounting and financial services to the country program in strict
observance of DRC and UNHCR Financial Management guidelines.
- Render
support in cash management in accordance with DRC accounting procedures.
This includes but it is not limited to the Accounts Payable role,
processing of invoices and receipts after checking the project allocation
with the Project Managers; - Provide
support in bank reconciliation, General Ledger accounts reconciliation,
monthly and yearly financial end closure, - Assist
in the timely tracking and preparation of VAT as well as other regular
administrative reports of the office; - Assist
in the monitoring of the projects’ activities and budget consumption by
providing the Project Managers with periodic reports; verify that the
project specific conditions are reflected in the actual expenses
documentation; - Verify
expense claims ensuring that they comply with the applicable Regulations - Support
the DRC team as needed, with guidance in the preparation of financial
documentation in their area of responsibility; - Prepare
the payment request form when necessary
- The
ideal candidate for the Danish Refugee Council (DRC) Finance Assistant
Partner Accountability job placement should hold a Bachelor’s degree in
Bachelor in Business Administration - Professional
experience i.e. ACCA, CPA would be an added advantage - At
least three years of exposure and experience in accounting, financial
reporting and budget tracking. - A
high level of computer literacy is required - Working
flexible hours to engage partners.

application of institutional financial policies and guidelines
