Job Summary: The Examinations
Officer (Test Development TD) will set, moderate and compile examination
question papers to ensure validity and reliability.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Organize
    subject item writers’ workshops
  • Identify
    and recommend moderators in line with TD procedures
  • Organize
    moderation meetings
  • Compile
    moderated items into draft question papers in accordance with the test
    blue print or table of specifications.
  • Organize
    subject panel meetings
  • Prepare
    reports on the work of candidates
  • Perform
    any other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.
Key Result Areas:
  • Valid
    question paper items set
  • Timely
    moderation of question papers
  • Complete
    draft question papers compiled
  • Three
    subject panel meetings held annually
  • Report
    on work of candidates produced by May of every year



Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 
  • The
    applicant must hold an Honours B.Sc. degree with Education in Biological
    Sciences or an Honours B.Ed degree (Biological Sciences) or a B.Sc.
    (Biological Sciences) and a PGD in Education.
  • A
    Master’s degree in Education.
  • Ten
    years of teaching experience at secondary school
  • Experience
    as examiner or setter in Biological Science is an added advantage
  • Excellent
    interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Should
    be computer literate with knowledge in Word Processing and Spread Sheets.
  • Personal
    Qualities:     Accountability,
    Confidentiality, Team-work, Innovativeness and Professionalism.
  • Age
    Limit    : Between 35 to 45
    years old
