Job Summary: The Examinations
Officer (Test Development TD) will set, moderate and compile examination
question papers to ensure validity and reliability.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Organize
subject item writers’ workshops - Identify
and recommend moderators in line with TD procedures - Organize
moderation meetings - Compile
moderated items into draft question papers in accordance with the test
blue print or table of specifications. - Organize
subject panel meetings - Prepare
reports on the work of candidates - Perform
any other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.
Key Result Areas:
- Valid
question paper items set - Timely
moderation of question papers - Complete
draft question papers compiled - Three
subject panel meetings held annually - Report
on work of candidates produced by May of every year
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The
applicant must hold an Honours B.Sc. degree with Education in Biological
Sciences or an Honours B.Ed degree (Biological Sciences) or a B.Sc.
(Biological Sciences) and a PGD in Education. - A
Master’s degree in Education. - Ten
years of teaching experience at secondary school - Experience
as examiner or setter in Biological Science is an added advantage - Excellent
interpersonal and communication skills. - Should
be computer literate with knowledge in Word Processing and Spread Sheets. - Personal
Qualities: Accountability,
Confidentiality, Team-work, Innovativeness and Professionalism. - Age
Limit: Between 35 to 45
years old
