District DREAMS Coordinator
is a collaborative Bio-medical research and service delivery organization. It
strives to improve the quality of life of the local population through a
combination of community based research, curative services and prevention
strategies in the District of Rakai, South Western Uganda. It is based at the
Uganda Virus Research Institute Entebbe and Kalisizo in Rakai District.
for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), RHSP is implementing a 5 year
comprehensive HIV/ AIDS program in the 12 districts of Masaka region namely;
Rakai, Kyotera, Masaka, Kalungu, Bukomansimbi, Lyantonde, Lwengo, Sembabule,
Butambala, Gomba, Mpigi, and Kalangala with an aim of achieving rapid HIV
epidemic control.
Program Area Supervisor will support the implementation of respective DREAMS
program Areas in the respective districts by overseeing overall implementation
of the program as guided by PEPFAR. The Program Area Supervisor will work with
the District DREAMS Coordinator, Sub-county coordinators and other community
structures to ensure quality delivery of DREAMS services in the respective
districts.
The DREAMS Program Area
Supervisor will work under the supervision of the District DREAMS coordinator
to:
- Offer technical support and supervision to
different district
Implementing CBOs within the respective program areas - Monitor the implementation the respective
DREAMS program areas in the district. - Prepare program area work plans, budget and
accountabilities. - Plan for and oversee different operational field activities in the respective program
areas within the district. - Develop and disseminate program area SOPs.
- Monitor daily reporting of daily program area
activities via Slack. - Prepare weekly reports for the respective
program areas. - Liaise with district coordinators, regional supervisor and DREAMS Manager for
effective planning and coordination of activities. - Ensure program area specific DREAMS reporting
to DHIS2, HIBRID, and UDTS - Work with various district structures to ensure
smooth running of DREAMS
activities. - Perform any other duties and responsibilities
as assigned by the supervisor
- The
ideal candidate for the DREAMS Program Area Supervisor job opportunity
should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, or Related humanities field - Previous experience with DREAMS programming is
an added advantage - Experience working with PEPFAR and district
reporting systems like DHIS2, OVCMIS, and HIBRID is an advantage - Experience working with the Uganda DREAMS
Tracking System (UDTS) is an added advantage - Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Good interpersonal and leadership skills
- Ability to work in a rural and multi-cultural
environment - Ability to work under minimum supervision
- Ability to ride a motorcycle is an added
advantage
