Uganda
and Development (AIRD) is a non-governmental, non-political, non-religious and
non-profit international organization whose objective is to provide operational
support but not limited to: supply chain, logistics, construction,
infrastructure, environment, livelihoods and WASH in partnership with relief
and development organizations which primarily focus on disaster-affected and
development-orientation areas.
Finance Officer is responsible for coordinating activities of financial
management of the project office. The incumbent will be tasked with the implementation
of AIRD Uganda Programme Financial policies and procedures work with Department
Heads/sub office managers to undertake financial activities and prepare
periodic financial reports of the respective areas. Assist the Finance and
Administrative Manager in reviewing and updating the policies and procedures
based on the needs generated from the field offices or donor requirements.
- The
applicant for the AIRD Senior Finance Officer job should hold a Masters
Degree in Accounting or Finance - A
recognized professional designation in Accounting or Internal Auditing
(ACCA,CPA) is an added advantage - At
least five years’ experience in similar position for masters and 7 years
experience for degree holders - Comprehensive
and current knowledge of legislation applicable to INGO’s - Good
understanding of accounting principles and financial statements - Advanced
computer skills in Accounting software with specialty in quick books and
MS Excel and office MS packages - Strong
interpersonal and communication skills. - High
level of honesty and Integrity - Attention
to detail and accuracy - Ability
to work under pressure with minimum supervision. - Willingness
to work in any part of the country
