About US:
African Initiatives for Relief
and Development (AIRD) is a non-governmental, non-political, non-religious and non-profit
making organization with the main aim of protecting and seeking durable
solutions for Refugees and IDPs in Africa in partnership with UNHCR the UN
refugee agency.
Job Summary:  The Program Officer will be providing support
to all AIRD Program activities. The jobholder will be tasked with the preparation
of Project work plans and follow up executions in the field as well as
participating in preparation of project Budgets & negotiations with funding
organisations.



Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 
  • The
    ideal candidate for the AIRD Program Officer job opportunity must hold a University
    Degree in Development studies, Social Sciences or any other related degree
  • At
    least three years of relevant program and/or administrative experience is
    required
  • Excellent
    knowledge of Project Management and Support is required
  • Experience
    in the use of computers and office software packages (MS Word, Excel,
    etc.) and knowledge of spread sheet and database packages
  • Excellent
    interpersonal and communication skills.
  • High
    level of honesty and Integrity
  • Excellent
    report writing skills
  • Ability
    to work under pressure with minimum supervision.
  • Willingness
    to work in any part of the country
