Uganda
and Development (AIRD) is a non-governmental, non-political, non-religious and
non-profit international organization whose objective is to provide operational
support but not limited to: supply chain, logistics, construction,
infrastructure, environment, livelihoods and WASH in partnership with relief
and development organizations which primarily focus on disaster-affected and
development-orientation areas.
Officers will be tasked with the general supervision of all procurement
activities in the field location with reference to the Procurement Manager; all
department heads and key staffs, ensure that the supply chain activities are
according to the AIRD Procurement guidelines
- The
applicant for the AIRD Procurement Officer job should a Bachelor’s degree
in Supply Chain Management, Logistics or in Business Administration
(Majoring in procurement). - Professional
CIPS certification is an added advantage - At
least four years of working experience in a similar NGO position - Excellent
interpersonal and communication skills. - Broad
knowledge of key purchasing processes and purchasing domain. - Good
experience in the use of computers and office software packages i.e. MS
Word, Excel, and knowledge of spreadsheets - High
level of honesty and Integrity - Attention
to detail and accuracy - Advanced
computer skills in Ms Word, Excel, PowerPoint presentation, Creating
forms, org charts, mail merges, labels, name tags, charts and graphs,
pivot tables, presentations with - Ability
to work under pressure with minimum supervision. - Willingness
to work in any part of the country
