Uganda
and Development (AIRD) is a non-governmental, non-political, non-religious and
non-profit international organization whose objective is to provide operational
support but not limited to: supply chain, logistics, construction,
infrastructure, environment, livelihoods and WASH in partnership with relief
and development organizations which primarily focus on disaster-affected and
development-orientation areas.
Assistants will be working in the Procurement Department to support procurement
activities. The jobholder will ensure that the procurement chart is followed
and adhered to in all procurement processes with close coordination with the
Procurement Officer.
- The
applicant for the AIRD Procurement Assistant job should a Bachelor’s
degree in Supply chain Management, Logistics or in Business Administration
(Majoring in procurement). - CIPS
is an added advantage - At
least two years of related work experience in a similar position.(NGO work
experience will be an added advantage) - Experience
in the use of computers and office software packages (MS Word, Excel,
etc.) - Excellent
interpersonal and communication skills. - Knowledge
of key purchasing processes and purchasing domain. - High
level of honesty and Integrity - Attention
to detail and accuracy - Ability
to work under pressure with minimum supervision. - Willingness
to work in any part of the country
