Development Center (IFDC) is a public international organization governed by an
international board of directors with representation from developed and
developing countries.
Project:
(Resilient Efficient Agribusiness Chains) project funded by the Embassy of the
Kingdom of the Netherlands. The project operates in Eastern and South western
regions, covering the districts of Kisoro, Kabale, Kanungu and Rubanda in
Kigezi sub-region from south western region, and Kween, Kapchorwa, Butalejja,
Budaka, Mbale, Bulambuli, Sironko, Tororo, Iganga, Bugiri, Kibuku, Pallisa,
Namutumba, from eastern region.
services to successfully deliver training modules in the following thematic
areas:
- Farming as a Business (FaaB)
- Good Agronomic Practices (GAP)
- Climate Smart Agriculture (CSA)
- Financial Literacy
- Farmer Institutional Development
- Business Skills
- The applicant must hold a diploma in a
relevant field (Agriculture, Economics, Statistics, Population studies,
Development studies, and any other related courses) - Two years’ proven experience in
agricultural extension and conducting similar trainings on the
aforementioned crops. - Ability to work with minimum supervision
- Knowledge of the local language in the
proposed duty station - Previous experience in using tablets for
collection and remitting information to a data base will be an added
advantage - The applicants are expected to be
residents and with knowledge of the operational terrain in which they will
work. - Willingness to travel and reside in the
field
