African Initiatives for Relief
and Development (AIRD) is a non-governmental, non-political, non-religious and
non-profit international organization whose objective is to provide operational
support but not limited to: supply chain, logistics, construction,
infrastructure, environment, livelihoods and WASH in partnership with relief
and development organizations which primarily focus on disaster-affected and
development-orientation areas.
Job Summary: The Assistant
Mechanic will offer support in the overall maintenance of heavy machinery for
the project. The incumbent will attend to all mechanical issues at all field
levels



Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 
  • The
    applicant for the AIRD Assistant Mechanic job must hold a Diploma in
    mechanical engineering
  • Two
    years of related working experience in a similar field
  • Broad
    understanding and experience of mechanics
  • The
    candidate should be self-motivated
  • Ability
    to travel to any part of the country
  • Ability
    to work for long hours
  • Ability
    to work under pressure with minimum supervision.
