Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- The
Senior Procurement Executive will procure goods and services in a timely
and cost-effective manner, - Enforce adhering to procurement regulations (Government or Donor),
- Prepare and evaluate bidding documents and
contracts, - Formulate appropriate procurement systems,
procedures and guidelines for the Board; - Prepare, administer and issue approved
contracts, - Work closely with suppliers and other stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of
goods and services done, - Guide suppliers and user departments on
procurement procedures, - Keenly verify procurement and disposal
requisitions, - Work closely with end-users to prepare draft
procurement plan for the
Board, - Prepare and submit periodical reports for the
Contracts Committee and submitting them to relevant authorities.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The
ideal candidate for the Uganda Export Promotions Board (UEPB) Senior
Procurement Executive career placement must be a Ugandan who holds an
Honors Bachelor Degree in the following: Procurement and Supply Chain Management,
Business Administration, Commerce, Logistics Management or Economics from
a recognized awarding Institution and should be a full member of CIPS
(MCIPS). - A
minimum of five years of working experience in a procurement function in a
public-sector organization or Government of Uganda projects. - Procurement, Disposal and Contracts Management,
- Good planning, organizing and coordination
skills - Information and Communications Technology,
- Concern for Quality and Standards,
- Ethics and Integrity,
- Communication,
- Time management.
