up by the Uganda Export Promotion Board Act 1996 under the Ministry of Trade,
Industry and Cooperatives with the main objective of facilitating the development,
promotion and coordination of all export- related activities that lead to export
growth on a sustainable basis.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
  • The
    Senior Procurement Executive will procure goods and services in a timely
    and cost-effective manner,
  • Enforce adhering to procurement regulations (Government or Donor),
  • Prepare and evaluate bidding documents and
  • Formulate appropriate procurement systems,
    procedures and guidelines for the Board;
  • Prepare, administer and issue approved
  • Work closely with suppliers and other stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of
    goods and services done,
  • Guide suppliers and user departments on
    procurement procedures,
  • Keenly verify procurement and disposal
  • Work closely with end-users to prepare draft
    procurement plan for the
  • Prepare and submit periodical reports for the
    Contracts Committee and submitting them to relevant authorities.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 
  • The
    ideal candidate for the Uganda Export Promotions Board (UEPB) Senior
    Procurement Executive career placement must be a Ugandan who holds an
    Honors Bachelor Degree in the following: Procurement and Supply Chain Management,
    Business Administration, Commerce, Logistics Management or Economics from
    a recognized awarding Institution and should be a full member of CIPS
  • A
    minimum of five years of working experience in a procurement function in a
    public-sector organization or Government of Uganda projects.
  • Procurement, Disposal and Contracts Management,
  • Good planning, organizing and coordination
  • Information and Communications Technology,
  • Concern for Quality and Standards,
  • Ethics and Integrity,
  • Communication,
  • Time management.
