Uganda Business and Technical
Examinations Board (UBTEB) is one of the national Examinations Boards in Uganda
whose mandate is to streamline, regulate, coordinate and conduct credible
examinations and award Certificates and Diplomas in the Business, Technical and
Vocational professions. The Board therefore conducts Business, Technical and
Vocational examinations, including Applied Science specialties such as
Biological Sciences (Agricultural, Fisheries, Wildlife, Forestry, Bee keeping
and other related fields), Physical Sciences (Meteorology, Surveys and Land
Management, and other related fields), Cooperative, Social Development, Hotel,
Catering and Tourism.

Job Summary: The Senior
Officer (Board Affairs) will perform the function of drafting, proof reading
all Board documents and ensure suitability before presentation.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- The
incumbent will edit and proof read manuscripts of Examination Test Items; - Draft,
edit and proof read Board reports and other Board documents; - Correct
and correlate the Annual report and other Board reports; - Arrange
for the printing of the Annual report and other reports; - Edit
and proof read Committee and Board Minutes; - Responsible
for the preparation of speeches for Board functions; - Responsible
for preparation of Policy Briefs; - Responsible
for the preparation of Concepts and Proposals; and - Perform
any other relevant duties as assigned to him or her by the supervisor
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The
applicant must hold a Master’s degree in Social Sciences, Arts, Arts with
Education, Law, Business and Economics from a recognised institution; - An
Honors Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences, Arts, Arts with Education,
Law, Business, Economics from a recognised Institution; - At
least four years of related working experience. - At
least two years’ experience in preparation of Reports, Minutes and Policy
Briefs; - Excellent
knowledge in Computer skills; - Excellent
report writing and communication skills - Excellent
analytical skills - Excellent
computer skills - Excellent
interpersonal skills and team building - High
level of integrity and confidentiality - Demonstrable
skills in research and Proposals writing - Demonstrable
judgment and crave for technical details - Excellent
skills in data analysis - Good
