Corporation (UPPC) is a body corporate established by the UPPC Act 1992 Cap.30
as a leading Government printer mandated to provide printing and publishing
facilities to the government ministries, departments, and parastatal bodies
.private companies, individuals and organizations. The corporation prints and
publishes all government legislation and documents and undertakes security
printing works.
Legal Officer will perform duties of secretary to the Board of Directors and
provide legal advice to the Corporation in accordance with the law.
- Providing legal secretarial services to UPPC.
- Drafting of legal documents on behalf of the
corporation. - Taking legal actions for the resolution of
contractual disputes including litigation on behalf of UPPC. - Registering legal documents including
Agreements, Bonds, Guarantees, etc witnessing legal contracts of UPPC. - Preparing periodic legal reports for UPPC.
- Advising the corporation on statutory
compliances. - Tasked with preparing and submitting periodic
reports to management and the board. - Perform any other duties as may be delegated to
the position from time to
time Person specification:
- The
ideal candidate should preferably hold a postgraduate diploma in Legal Practice; - Bachelors’ degree in Law (LLB) or related field
obtained from a reputable institution. - Possession of a practicing certificate is a MUST.
- Possession of a Master Degree in business is of
Added advantage. - Five years of legal practice or experience plus
3 years in a senior position.
