Job Summary: The Office
Assistant will be responsible for efficient and effective operations of the
Imvepi field office, with a particular focus on the procurement and logistics
needs of the projects, petty cash handling for office needs and support with
the day to day smooth running of the office.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Take
    charge of all office procurement that is within your mandate
  • Maintain
    updated assets register for the field office
  • Ensure
    with assistance from the drivers, an effective fleet management system for
    all the vehicles
  • Assist
    in ensuring all office financial tasks (project and office
    budget/operations) are completed/ accurately managed in agreement with the
    line supervisor.
  • Ensure
    that the Financial Manual rules and guidelines are followed.
  • Actively
    participate in training and building capacity of staff in basic financial
  • Keep
    updated on special donor financial requirements, including Danida, EU,
    ECHO, UNHCR, and others.
  • Take
    charge to ensure all office day to day operations are smooth and
    facilitated timely
  • Assist
    in the emergency operations of the office and any other duties assigned as
    the situation may demand. 

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
  • The
    applicant should for the DanChurchAid (DCA) Office Assistant job
    opportunity should preferably hold a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, B’COM
    (Accounting) or BBA( Accounting) and preferably with CPA/ACCA
    accreditation, minimum level 2.
  • Four
    years of experience working in a similar role in a Humanitarian
  • Proven
    capacity to prioritize tasks, plan and organize your own efforts to meet
    objectives and deadlines.
  • Excellent
    interpersonal and communication skills, and experience in working with a partner
    based approach.
  • Attention
    to detail with strong analytical skills
