post-primary education, and vocational training for conflict-affected Africans
since 1996. WTU works in partnership with United Nations High Commissioner for
Refugees (UNHCR).
Job Summary: The Procurement
Assistant will support the Procurement and Logistics department to ensure all
Procurement and Logistics decisions are implemented according to the
organization set policies and procedures; and that these decisions are
delivered in a timely and efficient manner to the end-user.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 
  • The ideal candidate for the Windle Trust
    Uganda WTU Procurement Assistant job opportunity must hold a Bachelor’s
    Degree in Procurement, Logistics and Supply chain management, at least an
    internship in a reputable organization or one year of experience
  • Procurement assistant skills
  • Energetic and willing to learn, successful
    Procurement Assistants have good judgment and the ability to interpret
    policies and procedures.
  • They enjoy analyzing and solving complex
    problems
  • Keen attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of procurement processes,
    policies and procedures



  • Strong emphasis on accuracy and detail
  • Ability to handle multiple projects
    simultaneously to meet goals and deadlines
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs,
    such as Excel
  • Good time management and organizational
    skills
  • Basic mathematical knowledge
  • Sourcing (RFI/RFQ/RFP) experience
  • Bilingual in English
  • Experience with Peoplesoft and/or SAP
