Design & Partnerships Manager

programming focuses on three core areas: youth sexual and reproductive health
and rights, youth civic participation and youth employment and livelihoods.
Coordinator will primarily nsure that key reporting, financial, and
implementation deliverables as well as other donor and contractual requirements
for all grants are met. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with strong
coordination, communication and interpersonal skills looking to develop their
fundraising skills within an innovative and growing organisation.
Responsibilities:
Organise
and lead grant start up meetings to induct implementing staff on grant
requirements.
Schedule
and coordinate regular grant management meetings to monitor progress against
activities, M&E targets and spend, as well as compliance to contractual terms
for key restricted grants.
Update
Core Leadership Team (CLT) on grant performance on a monthly basis
Review
monthly financial and programme reports for early identification of any
challenges and risks in grant spend and implementation which may jeopardise
good relations with donors
Improve
and maintain specialized systems and tools for recording and tracking grant
proposals, awards, and related statistical information.
Creates
and distributes standard and special reports, studies, summaries, and
analyses, as required
Act as
a liaison between partners and donors on grant management issues
Participate
in budget reforecasting for all grants on a quarterly basis
Work closely
with the Logistics team to ensure effective donor assets management
Lead
on grants close out process and ensure grant close out files including
timesheets are electronically and physically kept in line with our policies and
procedures
Work in
liaison with the Finance team to lead on required grant no cost extensions
(NCEs)
Work
with the Finance and OHR teams on monthly staff time allocations
Tasked
with filing of donor and partner contracts and communications (soft and hard
copies)
Ongoing
maintenance of partnerships documentation for audit purposes
Preparation
of required documentation i.e. contracts for internal and external
audits, spot checks, and donor financial assessment
Work
closely with the Senior Programme Design and Partnerships Manager to support on
the implementation of recommendations from audits for the Fundraising and
Partnerships Unit
Build
and maintain a system for timely submission of high quality donor reports
Coordinate
and follow up with Programmes, M&E and Finance staff for input and
additional information into donors’ reports
Work in
liaison with the Finance team to support the preparation of donor
financial reports for small and medium term grants
Deliver
high quality editing of reports to ensure an accurate picture of progress is
presented and donor commitments are met
Work
together with the Programmes and M&E teams to align internal systems
with donor reporting requirements
Liaising
with the Programmes and M&E teams to gather content for the production of
Quarterly Newsletters, Annual Report, News section in our website, and
social media in general
Liaising
with the M&E and Programmes teams to produce high quality change stories
and videos demonstrating the impact of Restless Development’s work
Managing
social media (Facebook & Twitter)
Development
of communication materials for a range of audiences to share regularly with
donors, partners, and other stakeholders in the youth sector
Advise
on branding requirements and related areas
Induction
of new staff and ongoing training of current staff on grant management
and donor reporting requirements
Logistical
preparations for donor visits and visits from the International Investments and
Partnerships team
Develops
and maintains a library of reference documentation and programme briefs
Work
as an active member of the Extended Leadership Team (ELT)
Assist
the Senior Programme Design and Partnerships Manager in programme design as
required
Research
for effective funding opportunities
Ad-hoc
administrative tasks as required
Experience:
The applicant for the Restless Development Grants
Coordinator job placement should hold a graduate level degree in a relevant field such as International
Development, NGO Management, Programme Management, Marketing and Communications
Previous exposure and experience in grant management and fundraising, managing
bilateral & multilateral grants a plus
