Manager
is the leading manufacturer of Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) in the Great
Lakes region, producing a wide range of market leader brands in soaps, edible
cooking oils and fats, detergents, beverages, personal care products and
plastics.
- Allocate
and monitor work assigned to subordinates - Provide
technical guidance and support to subordinates in the plant. - Monitor
inventory and prepare requisitions for raw materials and spare parts. - Prepare
daily production reports - Daily
oversee of preventive maintenance in the plant. - Monitor
performance of workers during the production process. - Enter
production data into the Enterprise Resource Application database - Manage
housekeeping in the production area. - In
consultation with the Manufacturing Manager, determine and implement
efficient production methods. - Ensure
that the products are produced on time and of good quality. - Monitor
the production process and make sure that quality-control programs are
implanted. - Is
responsible for the selection and maintenance of equipment and work with
managers to ensure that the company’s policies and goals are accomplished
on time. - Implement
the health and safety guidelines in the plant. - Identifying
training needs. - Perform
any other duties assigned by the Business Unit Manager/Manufacturing
Manager
- The
applicant for the Mukwano Production Officer, Refinery Section job
placement must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Food Science and
Technology; Chemistry or related discipline - At
least two years of working experience in a refinery section in a busy
manufacturing set up. - Good
oral and written communication skills - Excellent
customer care skills, good numerical ability - Show
a positive attitude, a team player - Highly
flexible, results focused, takes initiative, logical reasoning skills - Good
problem solving and creativity skills. - Demonstrated
ability to adjust to changing technology and ability to perform to
expected standards. - Mechanical
ability, physical strength and stamina and the ability to work for long
hours and in high places
