Job Summary: The MFS
Products Development Analyst will oversee, drive and implement the MFS Products
portfolio and support the implementation of key strategic MTN MFS initiatives.
The MFS Product Analyst will oversee the development and implementation of key
MFS products within MTN Uganda. The role will provide product lifecycle
management and provide all the required support from product Design, Build and
GTM. The Product Analyst will take responsibility for the planning, management
and co-ordination of all product development processes within the MFS Product
development space.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Identify
    new MFS Consumer Market Mobile money based enhancements in the consumer
    segments to keep MTN on the fore front in the innovations space.
  • Determine
    demand and viability of new MFS Products for customers.
  • Define,
    develop and implement MFS products and solutions that easily induce trial
    and usage from the different consumer segments
  • Keenly
    monitor the performance of key consumer MFS products.
  • Tasked
    with enhancing MFS products to ensure continuous relevancy to the Mobile
    Money customers.
  • Ensuring
    that MFS products over time meet the consumer needs by continually
    monitoring and modifying the elements of the different Marketing plans.
  • Working
    closely with the team to oversee the management of third-party MFS Service
    providers engaged in the integration of customer driven products.
  • Play
    a key stakeholder role on the different cross functional teams involved in
    the process of developing new MFS consumer products.
  • Assist
    the Products & Services Manager in designing and implementing the
    Consumer MFS Products roadmap.
  • Develop
    new products user requirement specifications for MFS Products on the
    product roadmap.
  • Determine
    demand and viability of new MFS Consumer products
  • Design
    processes and procedures to guide testing, implementation and launch of
    new Mobile Money services.
  • Monitor
    Mobile Money services’ performance i.e. uptime, penetration and usage and
    provide periodic written reports/feedback.
  • Review
    product functionality and channel feedback where necessary to meet market
    requirements
  • Ensure
    services are aligned to consumer segments and take action to maintain and
    increase usage to maximize MFS ARPUs.
  • Identify;
    analyze/utilize the findings of primary research to tailor specific MFS
    Services to meet customer requirements and to initiate research necessary
    to provide feedback on customers’ understanding of MFS Products.
  • Supervising
    and management of third-party value added service providers.
  • Develop
    and presenting training material and tools to effectively support sales,
    customer service and other stake holders in order to keep them abreast of
    the latest product and market information in the MFS space.
     



Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
  • The
    ideal candidate for the MTN Uganda MFS Products Development Analyst job
    placement should hold a Bachelor’s Degree in a Service related field or
    its equivalent.
  • Two
    years’ experience in telecommunications, product development/project
    management, customer services or marketing
  • Excellent
    knowledge of MS Office.
  • Computer
    proficiency and excellent analytical skills.
  • Good
    team player with good communication and excellent interpersonal skills
  • Troubleshooting
    and problem solving skills.
  • Flexibility
    and ability to handle stress with good planning and organization skills
  • Excellent
    knowledge of products & services.
  • Good

  • Excellent
