Teenage Information and Health Centre (NTIHC)

and Evaluation Manager
Health Centre (NTIHC) is the pioneer program in providing youth friendly
Adolescent Sexual Reproductive Health (ASRH) services in Uganda.
Officer will support in the development and implementation of an effective
monitoring and evaluation plan for the programme and also support in
custodianship and management of the information technology system.
- Prepare
and maintain; relevant systems documentation; creation of policies and
procedures, including data collection policies and procedures. - Establish
data quality standards and ensure that standards are met in a fully
operational and stable state. - Ensure
that all required software are updated and properly installed and rolled
out especially anti-virus, office work related packages and databases. - Perform
and document procedures for data preparation including trouble shooting
data submission errors and data error issues, data cleaning,
standardization and analysis. - Provide
coordination role in liaising with relevant data entrants to compile data
related to particular services and processes as required. - Ensure
that day-to-day administrative activities are undertaken to maintain
databases in a fully operational and stable state. - Apply
software upgrades and patches to the systems and to server operating
systems and database. - Review
and maintain efficient and effective data-base backups. - Maintain
adequate security of data by implementing monitoring and auditing
appropriate security policies. - Produce
routine data/reports in line with performance indicators. - Provide
support and training in use of the application, processes and database
functionality. - The
Data Officer will also provide user support through the provision of
incident and problem management. - Ensure
the security of organisational IT property and assets. - Provide
administration, logistics and specialist support and advise during
procurement and identified emergency events. - Perform
any other lawful duties as may be assigned by your supervisor and any
other superiors.
- The
ideal candidate for the Data Officer job placement must hold a Bachelor’s degree
or diploma in Information Technology or applied statistics. - At
least three years if relevant working experience in a similar organisation
is an added advantage. - Self-motivation,
hard work orientation and good team skills with strong personal values and
character. - Knowledge
of programming, systems and database management is an essential.
