within the East and Central Africa region. Founded in 1954 as a Department of
Preventive Medicine, under the Faculty of Medicine, it became an Institute of
Public Health in 1974 and was upgraded to the School of Public Health in 2007.
MakSPH is one of the four Schools under Makerere University’s College of Health
Sciences.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Designing
and updating ODK forms/ other electronic forms for data collection. - Providing
IT technical support to the study team - Daily
data backup. - Daily
tracking of study participants. - Developing
data checks and cleaning do- files - Ensuring
that all downloaded data is cleaned and maintaining a clean dataset. - Providing
weekly reports on data collection progress as well as data quality issues - Providing
periodic summary reports to the Independent Data Management Centre - Perform
any other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The
ideal candidate must hold a diploma in IT, Statistics, or Computer Science - Demonstrated
ability to use open data kit (ODK) or other electronic data collection
systems. - Demonstrated
ability to work with minimal supervision - Highly
organized and detail oriented
