Job Summary: The Advocacy
and Communications Officer will provide editorial, creative and operational
support across Save the Children’s work in the region. She/he will play a key
role in ensuring our communications are both influential and informative for
the full range of our stakeholders. The Officer will support the advocacy
initiatives in the region. She/he may also be called upon to support programs
in emergency responses.



Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 
  • The
    applicant for the Save the Children Advocacy and Communications Officer
    job placement should hold a Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Mass
    Communication or related field.
  • Possession
    of a post graduate training in Journalism, Media Studies, International Communication
    or any relevant field is an added advantage
  • A
    minimum of three years’ experience in a media house or related position in
    an international development organization.
  • Strong
    writing, editorial and graphic skills.
  • Ability
    to establish and maintain conducive collegial relations and perform
    effectively as a member of a team.
  • Willingness
    to travel and work in hard-to-reach areas.
  • Computer
    literacy
  • Excellent
    documentation skills.
