Uganda Women’s Effort to Save
Orphans (UWESO) is a national non-government organization which was founded in
1986 by Ugandan mothers committed to providing relief aid to needy children
left parentless by the civil turbulence of the mid-1980’s and the HIV/AIDS
pandemic.

About AROC Project:
With support from the United
Arab Emirates, UWESO is implementing the AROC project (Advancing Rights &
Opportunities for Vulnerable Children). The project aims at reducing
vulnerability among children who have limited access to education because of
their socio economic conditions partly caused by their migrant nature and
refugee status.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work
closely with the Project Co-ordinator and Project Officers to design and
disseminate AROC M&E frame work. - Prepare
source data for computer entry by compiling and sorting information;
establishing entry priorities - The
Monitoring & Evaluation Assistant will reconcile and clean files both
in the manual registers and system - Support
Designing data collection tools and ensure timely, complete and accurate
collection of data from field - Design
data bases for all the new and old interventions - Keenly
analyze all data entered into the systems and Prepare timely aggregate
reports against project targets, reports to track, agent and group
performance and sharing with the project team - Maintains
data entry requirements by following data program techniques and
procedures. - Conduct
periodic monitoring of projects activities, outputs and outcomes including
data collection on a timely basis and in accordance with Monitoring and
Evaluation plans. - Prepare
and submit any other reports as may be required in the project to ensure
that all processes and project outcome/results are documented.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The
applicant for the UWESO Monitoring & Evaluation Assistant job
placement must hold a Diploma in Statistics Economics, social sciences or
any other related field. - Additional
training in M&E is desirable. - A
minimum of two years ‘experience & practical knowledge in M& E
position Data management. - Knowledge
is quantitative Economics is an added advantage. - Must
have the following; Analytical skills, conceptual thinking, thoroughness
& leadership orientation. - Adhere
to child protection safe guarding policy - Ability
and willingness to ride a motorcycle (Valid riding permit required)
