University
Uganda. Established in 1992, Ndejje University is the oldest privet university
and the fastest growing in Uganda. In 1995 the university gained its status
under the ownership of six church of Uganda dioceses in Buganda Region in what
is known as “Ndejje university Foundation consortium”. The consortium is
registered as Company limited by Guarantee, not having share capital.
The incumbent will head the ICT department and
supervise staff under him plus making monthly reports.
The jobholder will implement ICT policy and
manage internet and protocols.
The incumbent will manage all audio-visual
systems of the University.
Coordinate, develop and lead the ICT technology
activities of different Faculties and departments.
Work closely with other stake holders to
implement ICT systems that will support operational and fiscal goals of the
University.
Possess a clear understanding of the
technological and organizational needs of the University.
Research and implement ways of technology and
network-based systems that increase the University productivity.
Stay up-to-date with current and emerging
technology and computing trends.
Plan and coordinate hardware and software
installations and upgrades of the University.
The incumbent will Implement and program
computer networks and softwarei
Develop intranet and Internet sites
Maintain a high level of level of integrity and
confidentiality in ICT Management.
Perform any other tasks as may be allocated to
you from time to time by your Supervisor.
Experience:
The applicant must hold a Master’s Degree in ICT
or its equivalent from a recognized Institution of Higher Learning.
A Bachelor’s degree in ICT or Computer Science
from a recognized Institution of Higher Learning.
At least five years of experience in systems
management in a reputable Institution.
Excellent interpersonal relationship and
communication skills.
Age: Below 45 years.
