Manager, Basic Education is responsible for effectively and efficiently
planning, management and delivery of the BE with ECCD core program components
within the Impact Area in ways that meet both local and international Save the
Children and respective donor requirements and guidelines. The job holder may
be called upon as and when necessary to support the emergency team in cases of
humanitarian crisis.
- The ideal candidate for the Save the
Children Project Manager Basic Education job placement should hold a
Bachelor’s degree in education, Development Studies, Social Sciences,
Adult and Community Education or related field, Monitoring and Evaluation
post grade diploma is an added qualification will be of an advantage. - Five years of progressive experience in
planning and implementation of school-based health programme targeting all
children, Adolescents inclusive. - Ability to speak the local language
fluently is a strong requirement. - Ability to ride a motorcycle (Honda XL
125) and must be having a valid riding permit and willing to ride a
motorcycle. - Demonstrable financial, planning and
budget management skills a MUST. - Demonstrated knowledge of international
and local policies and frameworks relating to their thematic area is a
must and excellent planning, coordination and reporting skills. - Experience of working with local partners
