About US:
The Parliamentary Commission of Uganda serves the following functions;
  • Appoint, promote and exercise disciplinary
    control over persons holding public office in Parliament;
  • Review the terms and conditions of
    service, standing orders, training and qualifications of persons holding
    office in Parliament;
  • Provide a Parliamentary reporting service;
  • Provide such other staff and facilities as
    are required to ensure efficient functioning of the Parliament;
  • To cause to be prepared in each financial
    year, estimates of revenue and expenditure for the next financial year;
    and
  • Make recommendations to Parliament, or
    with the approval of Parliament, determine the allowances payable and
    privileges available to the Speaker and Members of Parliament.
Job Summary: The Protocol
Officer (Ticketing) will provide support in securing travel bookings, maintain
proper system of air ticket transactions and protocol services.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
  • The jobholder will collect information on
    travel regulations and restrictions
  • Keep an update record of travel transactions
    and costs of air tickets.
  • The jobholder will secure travel bookings.
  • The incumbent will collect air tickets
    from Airlines.
  • Regularly review and reconcile airline
    statements.
  • Submit complete air travel invoices for
    payment
  • Provide protocol services.
  • Perform any other duties as may be
    assigned from time to time



Qualifications, Skills and
Experience: 
  • The applicant must hold an Honours
    Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communication or Procurement or Transport and
    Logistics, or Commerce Marketing option, or Business Administration or
    Tourism and Travel or Hotel Management or Leisure and Hospitality or Arts
    or any other Honours Degree.
  • IATA/UFTAA Diploma in Tours and Travel is
    a must.
  • Travel Agency training or Ticketing
    Certificate is desirable.
  • Good customer care and client relation
    skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and networking
    skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
    skills
  • Demonstrate competency in IT skills
  • Good analytical skills
  • Age: 25 years and above
