television, radio broadcasting, commercial printing, advertising and

expected turnover of over UGX 60 billion (FY 2010/2011).

Job Summary: The News
Producer, Bukedde TV will ensure production and airing of timely daily
bulletins that will attract and retain audiences.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Ensure production of timely daily news bulletins to attract and retain
audiences by;

- Holding deployment meetings with
reporters. - Attending daily handover meetings.
- Monitoring reporters while in the field.
- Editing scripts submitted by reporters.
- Designing a docket or running order and
submit for approval. - Monitoring production of footage and
approve stories before they go on air. - Briefing the news anchors on the items in
the day’s bulletin. - Coordinating live studio broadcasts.
- Anchoring the news when required.
- Line Manage subordinates to ensure a
highly productive team by; - Participating in recruitment exercises for
your team. - Carrying out performance management for
the team (Reporters, Anchors and Video Editors). - Train and coach subordinates.

Experience:
Experience:
- The ideal candidate for the Vision Group
News Producer, Bukedde TV job placement must hold a Diploma in Journalism
from a recognized institution. - Two years’ experience in News production
- Must know how to operate a professional
camera - Must possess production skills
- Must have an eye for a good story.
- Excellent reading and writing skills in
English and Luganda. - Team Leader
- Pays attention to detail
- Flexible
- Must be able to relate well with people
- Excellent communication skills
- Proactive
