-in Charge of Legal Affairs
Statutory Body under the Uganda Registration Services Bureau Act Cap. 210, Laws
of Uganda 2000 Edition. The Bureau is a key player in commercial and civil
registrations that facilitate private sector development and vital statistics
for national planning.
Compliance and Enforcement will ensure that work performance complies with
internal processes, policies and procedures on the one hand and with statutory
requirements on the other hand.
Provides a clear understanding of the
organization procedures, processes, policies and pertinent laws to all who are
concerned
Keenly reviews workflow procedures and processes
and advises on necessary reforms.
Identifies policy gaps advises on changes to
make policy more effective
Develops framework for risk assessment and
orients other directorates and departments to using it
Works in close consultation with other heads to
develop risk mitigating strategies in the Bureau
Represents URSB in courts of law on cases of
non-compliance
The jobholder also represents the Registrar
General in meetings as may be called upon from time to time.
Handles clients’ complaints related to processes
and non-compliance in general
Mentors and supervises the staff in the
department for better results and appraises their performance in accordance
with the HR manual
Performs any other duties that may be assigned
from time to time by the supervisor.
Experience:
The ideal candidate for the Uganda Registration
Services Bureau (URSB) Manager, Compliance and Enforcement career opportunity
must hold an honors’ Degree in law plus a diploma in legal practice
Possession of a post graduate diploma in
compliance, investigations or management
Six or more years of relevant work experience in
a busy / related work environment 3 of which should be at management level
Computer literacy skills
Excellent communication skills.
Good supervisory skills
