Job Summary: The Initiative
Coordinator- Livelihoods is the lead in the area of livelihoods for
implementation in Omugo Camp. S/he will be responsible for guiding the Partner
in undertaking planned business training, selection of youth entrepreneurs from
refugee and host community for trainings and conducting Information, Education,
and Communication (IEC) sessions within the community.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- The Initiative Coordinator- Livelihoods
will also effectively guide the partner in effective management of the
beneficiary youth start-up grants, ensuring that friendly proposals to
access financial and technical support from targeted youth led businesses
are properly drafted, reviewed and supported to transform community youth
ideas into successful run become more self-reliant business. - The Initiative Coordinator- Livelihoods,
will ensure that the approved Partner work plan is properly implemented as
agreed with the supervisor. - The incumbent will ensure planning and
preparation of weekly, monthly and quarterly Partner work plans and
reports on field activities are properly drafted and timely submitted to
the Initiative Manager. - S/he is responsible for writing and
documenting case stories of lessons learnt. - The Initiative Coordinator- Livelihoods
will assist the Partner to maintain, monitor and update beneficiary
disaggregated livelihood data system for use by CARE and other
implementing partners. - The jobholder will help the Partner
monitor business start-up grants and perform monthly spot-checks on
established youth business initiatives.
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience:
Experience:
- The applicant should preferably hold a
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management. Possession of a Diploma in
Education or training is desirable. - Two years’ experience in Project Cycle
Management, managing Economic and Social Empowerment projects in Host
Community/Refugee Setup with ability to work with CARE Partner to deliver
sustainable community based business entrepreneurships or hands on skills
in implementation of livelihood projects through local NGOs in refugee
setup.
