Assistant
offering courses at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The main objective
of the University is to serve the higher education needs of the Muslim communities
in the English-Speaking African countries, although the University has a
substantial number of non-Muslim students and staff.
- The jobholder will exercise general
control over all activities in Stores Department - Ensure safe keeping both as to quality and
quantity of materials. - Conduct periodical stock taking.
- To check and receive purchased materials
forwarded by the receiving department and to arrange for the storage in
appropriate places. - To reserve a particular material for a
specific job when so required. - To issue materials only in required
quantities against authorized requisition notes/material lists. - Regularly check the book balances, with
the actual physical stock at frequent intervals by way of internal control
over wrong issues, pilferage, etc.
Experience:
- The applicant must hold a Diploma in
Stores Management/Purchasing from a recognized institution - At least two years of related working
experience - Computer literacy skills
