for development and prosperity through training on investment and financial
management. The SACCO was constituted in June 2017 and is looking for a highly
motivated, committed and qualified entrepreneurial team to lead and guide it
through establishment and growth.

Job Summary: The Credit
Officer will provide outreach, promotion, loan client assessment/evaluation and
monitoring of the loan portfolio with the intention of gradually growing and
sustaining it. The incumbent will advise borrowers on financial status and
methods of payments.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- The jobholder will review and implement the
SACCO’s policies, procedures and regulations on processing and recovery of
loans. - Grow a high quality loan asset portfolio
- Monitor and control loans, risk and
compliance; Analyse applicants’ financial status, credit, and property
evaluations to determine feasibility of granting loans. - Generate defaulters’ reports and institute
recovery measures - Prepare and update monthly member
statements - Provide technical advice to management on
loans and prepare credit reports. - Prepare and analyse on a regular basis, the
SACCO’s operational plans and budgets - Ensure filing and record keeping is done
and up to standard - Carry out general accounting duties as
required - Perform any other duties assigned by the
Manager from time to time.
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience:
Experience:
- The applicant for the Infectious Diseases
Institute Staff SACCO (IDI Staff SACCO) Credit Officer job placement
should preferably hold a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business
Administration or related fields - At least two years’ experience in the
field of accounting with loans management experience in SACCOS or related
institutions. - Ability to work under minimal supervision
- High degree of integrity
- Excellent self-drive and initiative.
