- Handle
petty cash expenses and bank payments for MI Arua Office - Collect
all receipts arising from the purchase of goods and services - Update
daily cash balance sheet and enter data in Malteser booking software
according to booking instructions provide by Kampala office Accountant or
Programme Coordinator - Ensure
accuracy in bookkeeping for cash and bank books, preparation of
cheques, bank communication - Ensure
proper weekly and monthly reconciliation of cash books - Preparation
of payroll for national staff in cooperation with Accountant in Regional
office in Kampala and Programme Coordinator - Ensure
timely monthly accountancy closure (e.g cash books, receipts, and cash
count protocol) and send it to Regional Office in Kampala - Ensure
complete monthly accountancy is scanned and uploaded in Malteser booking
software - Sort
receipts after monthly closure into project folders - Close
cooperation with all Finance and Admin staff from Regional Office in
Kampala
Experience:
- The
applicant must hold a University degree in CPA or ACTA or equivalent is
advantage - A
minimum of two years of proven experience in finance management,
preferably in the NGO sector. Working with donors like ECHO, PRM, BMZ is
an asset - Fully
computer literate (Microsoft Office) and good working knowledge of
ITC technologies - Good
organizational skills, flexibility, diplomatic and negotiation skill - Sensitivity
for other cultures - Fluency
in English (written and spoken), local languages an asset
