Officer will be responsible for the management of the Kampala office’s
logistics in compliance with Handicap International’s internal framework and
institutional donor regulations so as to ensure on-going logistical support for
the activities developed.
Steering the Kampala Office’s Logistics
Management;
Planning and guaranteeing efficient supply chain
Management ;
Supervising the use and management and use of
vehicle fleet and other means of transport in compliance with the internal
regulations and security plan;
Managing technical equipment;
Overseeing the management of general
services(expatriate Staff accommodation, office and storage facilities)
Participating in the analysis and implementation
of the programme’s security rules
Participating to the weekly team meetings;
Ensure the strict application of the rules;
Report any incident in which s/he’s
involved/witnessed immediately;
Experience:
The ideal candidate for the Handicap
International (HI) Logistics Officer job opportunity must hold a professional
diploma or University degree in Procurement & Supply chain Management or
related qualification;
One year of related work experience
Previous experience with an NGO is preferred;
Proven knowledge of managing the supply chain;
Experience in stock taking;
Proven experience in General services, technical
equipment and vehicle management;
Experience in setting up an archives system and
internal controls;
Proven experience in contractual management and
knowledge of civil and commercial laws.
Advanced MS Excel skills;
Familiar with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
and internet;
Sharp time management skills;
Strong ethics, with an ability to manage
confidential data;
Ability to work under high pressure;
Good coordination skills;
