Job Summary: The Emergency
GBV Coordinator is responsible for the coordination of GBV prevention and
response initiatives / activities, mainstreaming Gender in all project
approaches, functionality of complaint feedback reporting mechanism, Human
resource management for the GBV officers, procurement & budget management,
partnership / networking with other humanitarian actors / stakeholders, M&E
and reporting. She/ He will represent CARE with collaborators, partners and
communities in order to establish and maintain a high reputation. Effective
coordination, networking, representation and documentation at all levels will
be part of the expected deliverables of the position.



Qualifications, Skills and
Experience: 
  • The applicant for the CARE International
    Emergency GBV Coordinator job placement should hold a Bachelor’s degree in
    Social work and Social development, Law, Behavioral sciences. Possession
    of a Master’s degree is an added advantage
  • Five years of hands on professional
    experience in community development, including experience and knowledge of
    working within a Post Conflict Recovery and development background.
  • Proven experience implementing programs on
    Gender, Gender based violence and male engagement.
  • Previous experience working with large
    teams with multiple deliverables
  • Extensive knowledge and strong skills in
    M&E, report writing and documentation.
