(Ticketing)
- Appoint, promote and exercise disciplinary
control over persons holding public office in Parliament; - Review the terms and conditions of
service, standing orders, training and qualifications of persons holding
office in Parliament; - Provide a Parliamentary reporting service;
- Provide such other staff and facilities as
are required to ensure efficient functioning of the Parliament; - To cause to be prepared in each financial
year, estimates of revenue and expenditure for the next financial year;
and - Make recommendations to Parliament, or
with the approval of Parliament, determine the allowances payable and
privileges available to the Speaker and Members of Parliament.
Protocol Officer (Ticketing) will process air tickets, coordinate air travels
and provide protocol services in Parliament.
- Keenly secure and confirm travel bookings.
- Regularly review travel plans.
- Provide advisory support on travel
requirements to clients in accordance with the law. - Follow up on official ticket changes and
refunds for unused or cancelled air tickets. - Provide ticketing support services to
travelers while abroad. - Provide protocol services.
- Perform any other duties as may be
assigned from time to time
Experience:
- The applicant should be a Ugandan who
possesses an Honours Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communication or
Procurement or Transport and Logistics, or Commerce Marketing option, or
Business Administration or Tourism and Travel or Hotel Management or
Leisure and Hospitality or Arts or any other Honours Degree. - IATA/UFTAA Diploma in Tours and Travel is
a must. - Travel Agency Training or Ticketing
Certificate is desirable. - Three years of relevant working experience
in air ticketing. - Good customer care and client relation
skills - Excellent interpersonal and networking
skills - Excellent written and verbal communication
skills - Demonstrate competency in IT skills
- Good analytical skills
- Good supervisory skills
- Age: 25 years and
above
