Job Summary: The Technical Officer (Carpentry) will take lead in the making and repairing of all wooden furniture as instructed whilst conforming to client needs and expectations
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
· Make new furniture as required by the clients
· Responsible for carpentry and maintenance work
· Carry out repair/maintenance works on all wooden furniture.
· Carry out routine inspections to ensure that the furniture being made conforms to the client needs and expectations
· Record all work carried out and maintains an accurate record of all works and the costs.
· Any other lawful duties assigned by the supervisor and/or management from time to time.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
· The applicant should at least hold a certificate in Industrial Fine Art or a related discipline.
· The applicant should have done technical drawing at Advanced Level of education
· Good working knowledge in computer-aided designing i.e. Archicad, AutoCAD
· Passionate with woodworks
· Conversant with measuring and taking precise measurements
· Ability to supervise and monitor other subordinates
· Ability to carry out freehand sketching
· Excellent command of spoken and written English.
· Excellent interpersonal skills.
