the areas of Human Rights, Health Promotions and Institutional Capacity

in Central and Western Uganda over the next five years. The Project will
improve the health, nutrition, education and psychosocial wellbeing of
vulnerable populations, as well as reduce abuse, exploitation and neglect to a
minimum of 625,000 children and 101,500 households in 17 districts in central
and western Uganda. The program will
improve outcomes for vulnerable children and youth by strengthening the systems
that surround them; caregivers will have greater economic opportunities, which
will increase their resilience and make them less susceptible to shocks; local
government structures and CSOs will be strengthened to provide services
targeting the diverse needs of vulnerable children, and health and social
service agencies will strengthen their coordination and referral systems to
provide integrated care along the continuum of response. The Project is being
implemented by a consortium of partner consisting of CRS being the lead,
Futures Group, ACODEV, Palladium, ANPPCAN and TPO.
development & Operations officer will guide and manage the overall
provision of Human Resources services, and HR policy of ACODEV.
The incumbent will oversee the day to day
operations management across programs; leading Recruiting and staffing process
and records;
Employee needs assessment, training and
development;
Managing the ACODEV HR Policy review and
development and review of the operations guidelines;
Responsible for managing all employee
relations-teambuilding initiatives and Conflict management;
Compensation and benefits administration where
applicable;
Participate in Senior management meetings;
Carrying out investigations on employee
complaints or concerns and non-compliance issues;
The incumbent will be presiding over
disciplinary cases among staff in and outside of the work place;
Leading ACODEV’s compliance to all existing
governmental labor laws and other legal provisions/ requirements;
In charge of designing, directing and managing succession
planning, superior workforce development, key employee retention, organization
development and change management.
Experience:
The ideal candidate for the ACODEV USAID SOCY
Project Talent Development & Operations Officer job placement should
preferably hold a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Human Resources
Management, Business Administration, or Organization Development;
At least three years of demonstrate leadership
experience in Human Resources positions in a reputable NGO;
Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Office
applications;
Specialized training in employment law,
compensation, organizational planning, organization development, employee
relations, safety, training, and preventive labor relations, added advantage.
Active affiliation with appropriate Human
Resources networks and organizations and ongoing community involvement, is an added
advantage
