countries, we lobby governments and companies to take into account the
interests of the poorest people and we campaign to involve citizens in our
work. We implement our programs by working with local NGO partners and civil

program is anchored on three broad themes deliberately focused on Women’s
Rights: Resilient Livelihoods, Governance and Accountability and Humanitarian
Preparedness and Response.
Health Engineering Officer will conduct technical assessments, design, and
implement water and sanitation projects that are socially acceptable,
environmental friendly, and economically viable;
The incumbent will participate in the assessment
of emergency needs as requested, taking into consideration the broader
perspective of Public Health;
The jobholder will also design and implement
camp water and sanitation facilities for refugee settlements. This person shall
oversee the construction of emergency water systems, using surface water and
possibly ground water, following technical designs; ensure that the most
appropriate forms of sanitation systems are implemented, in consultation with
the beneficiaries, which includes excreta disposal, refuse disposal, vector
control and drainage;
Actively contribute towards planning and
proposal writing in order to provide clear objectives and establish indicators
for monitoring and evaluating of the programme;
The jobholder will develop and implement a
technical training programme for relevant staff/Engineering Assistants,
partners and, to ensure that water sanitation projects in the area reflect
sustainability.
