Uganda
Development Organizations, working in a number of countries in Africa and Asia
on poverty alleviation Programs, is registered in Uganda as BRAC Uganda. The
organization implements integrated development approach combining Education,
Health, Agriculture, Livestock, Adolescent Empowerment and Microfinance.
The jobholder will manage, develop and expand
portfolio of BRAC Uganda Social Business Enterprise (current portfolio includes
seed production center and tissue culture lab)
Plan and implement yearly strategic, operational
and people objectives for BSBE, in line with the Organization’s goals and
mission.
Tasked with defining and delivering on value
propositions for new and existing clients, lead strategic planning, quarterly
business reviews and client planning.
Work in liaison with research organizations for
improved seed production.
Build trusted relationships with clients by
delivering engagements that exceed expectations, demonstrating a strong ROI and
leveraging thought leadership.
Generate strategic marketing program ideas,
marketing plans and oversee the implementation of marketing initiatives.
Explore new collaborations with International
Research Institutes especially those that have expertise in the field of
research as well as marketing networks across the world.
Lead, manage and mentor a team of talented
marketing professionals, in consultations with management, recruit qualified
staffs as well as design and implement the program activities.
Work closely with all levels of intra manager,
related government officials, all stakeholders to ensure all activities are
done in an effective and efficient way.
Perform any other duties.
Experience:
The applicant must hold a Master’s Degree in
Business Administration/Marketing, MSc. Marketing, MSc Agriculture/Agribusiness
or related field.
Bachelors Degree in Agriculture or related field
is a must.
At least eight years of experience in seed
marketing, seed production and strong knowledge in channel marketing and
consulting.
Excellent organizational skills, strong
management experience providing guidance to a diverse, multicultural team and
ability to manage at all levels of an organization.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal
skills with proven track record of driving sales and building client
relationships.
