Opportunities Act of 2007 and is mandated to provide a framework for redressing
imbalances which exist against the marginalized groups while promoting equal
opportunities for all.
Tasked with processing all
appointments/confirmation, promotions, dismissals, retirements and transfers
from the Commission and any other letters related to Human Resource Management;
Managing the establishment and staffing control
information systems;
Responsible for administering the payroll and
assessment of benefits in liaison with the Accounts Section;
Coordinating staff appraisals, management
development of training programmes;
Coordinating with all departmental heads on
matters of Human Resource/ manpower planning, technical and professional
training;
Tasked with managing information related to
recruitment, personnel statistics and job analysis
Compiling and submitting periodic performance
reports pertaining to Human Resource Management
Managing staff relations and welfare matters
Perform any other duties as may be assigned from
time to time.
Experience:
Applicants should have an Honors Degree in
either Social Work and Social Administration, Human Resource Management, Public
Administration and Management, Business Studies /Administration /Commerce (Management
/Human Resource Management option), Arts or Social Sciences or equivalent qualification with human resource
management/personnel management as one of the course units from a recognized
University/Institution plus a minimum of a Post Graduate Diploma in Human
Resource Management or Public Administration and Management.
Possession of a Masters Degree in Human Resource
Management or Business Administration (Human Resource Management option) or
Public Administration and Management shall be an added advantage.
At least six years of experience served in the
field of Human Resource Management as Senior Human Resource Officer or Senior
Personnel Officer level in Government or equivalent level of working experience
from a reputable organization.
Experience in interpreting various aspects of
the current human resource policies, rules and regulations;
Experience in providing staff guidance and
counseling;
Experience in support in the preparation of
draft estimates of expenditure and staff
