Agricultural Advisory Services (NAADS)

Monitoring and Evaluation
established through an Act of Parliament, The NAADS Act 2001. NAADS underwent
restructuring in 2014 leaving it with a lean structure and refocusing its
mandate from providing agricultural advisory Services to supporting farmers
with the provision of agricultural inputs through the implementation of
Operation Wealth Creation (OWC) intervention.
Monitoring and Evaluation Officer will be supporting the coordination,
planning, monitoring and evaluation function for the NAADS organisation and
developing project proposals to enable it attract the required resources to
effectively deliver on its mandated functions.
Offering support in the preparation of strategic
plans, work plans, master budget and guidelines to guide the NAADS Secretariat
on the priority actions and resource allocation
Supporting all stakeholders to undertake
effective programming
Providing support in developing and
disseminating Technical Standards and guidelines for NAADS implementation
Providing support in planning and implementing
periodic technical Audits of the NAADS activities at all levels of
implementation
Providing support in documenting and sharing
lessons and experiences identified during NAADS implementation.
Offering technical support in disseminating of
relevant information during NAADS implementation progress through various media
Assist in carrying out research on issues
related to operations of the NAADS Secretariat to inform the policy formulation
process
Providing support in incorporating the overall
planning and management into the into the programmes operational planning and
the guidelines for planning
Providing support in preparation of periodic
performance reports, work plans and budgets for the NAADS organisation
Perform any other responsibilities assigned by
the supervisor.
Experience:
The applicant should hold a Bachelors degree in
Economics, Statistics, Agricultural Economics, Business Management
Possession of a Masters degree in Public Policy
and Planning
Post graduate training in Monitoring and
Evaluation, Project Planning and Management.
At least seven years of relevant experience in a
similar position in a big reputable public or private institution; three of
which should have been at a senior level with increasing responsibility
demonstrated in planning, budgeting, monitoring and evaluation.
