HIV Vaccine Program
Uganda
not for profit organization with offices and research facilities based at the
Uganda Virus Research Institute in Entebbe. The Program’s main activities are
conducting research, building capacity and providing advocacy for HIV/AIDS
vaccine as well as molecular and epidemiological work toward HIV prevention.
The Program is mainly funded by the International AIDS Vaccine Initiative
(IAVI), USA but also receives funding from other donors.
Participates in screening and recruitment
activities during clinical trials and provision of medical care to study
participants
Ensure that clinical trials are conducted in
accordance with GCP and ethical guidelines.
Reporting, management and tracking of Adverse
Events in a timely manner
Provide appropriate treatment to participants
and refer cases as need arises with support from the Medical Director
Ensure proper and accurate completion and
filling of all study logs and record forms Identifying and reporting of
protocol deviations and development of CAPAs to identified non conformities.
Tasked with the development of study tools, SOPs and other research related documents.
Participate in community engagement activities.
Experience:
The applicant must hold a Bachelor’s degree in
Human Medicine
GCP/HSP certification within the last two years
certificate
Should be registered with Uganda Medical Council
and holding a valid Annual Practicing licence.
A minimum of three years of post-internship
experience
Two years’ experience in clinical trials conduct
Fluency in Uganda is an added advantage
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
with the
Demonstrated ability to work harmoniously with
all members of the team
