Job Summary: The Technology
Infrastructure Officer will render efficient and effective technology services
(as per Technology SLA) to the bank by running day-to-day Data Center and
Systems’ activities , responding to tactical SSA cluster  requests and availing to Citibank Uganda
users timely helpdesk solutions.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
·        
Co-ordinate with regional data Centre (RDC) and
support teams (e.g. Flexcube, IntellectFlow, Checks32, GVO, GNCC, TISS, etc) in
problem reporting and resolution.
·        
The incumbent will ensure that statement reports
(both EOD and ad-hoc) are printed and distributed to various recipients on
time. Ensure that E-Statements files are sent to EMC on time.
·        
Co-ordinate daily, weekly and monthly data backups
including Offsite tape media deliveries and library control at Continuity Of
Business (COB) site.
·        
Implement and monitor PC standards and
processes.
·        
Carry out network and system administration in
all functions related to control monitoring of LAN, LAN Operating system and
LAN Topology.
·        
Accept on behalf of the facility unit any new
hardware and application programs or changes to existing services.
·        
Ensure that all errors encountered by users are
reported (encourage users to use Service Now) and tracked down until
resolution.
·        
Serve as the primary contact for local
technology unit helpdesk and laptop users and work hand in hand with the One
Touch and Second Touch teams to resolve user issues.
·        
Offer technical guidance and one-on-one training
to end-users.
·        
Implement new systems and patches/upgrades for
the existing ones as per Change Management Procedures.
·        
Getting involved in both locally and cluster
initiated projects as per Project management Procedures.
·        
Install and troubleshoot Citibank approved
operating and application systems.
·        
Implement preventive maintenance SLA for all
Computers, Laptops and Printers.
·        
Computer stationery and accessories use
monitoring and requisition.
Tasks:
Daily:
·        
Respond to approximately 60 users’ problems in a
timely manner.
·        
Ensure systems’ uptime is as per SLA
·        
Print and ensure timely dispatch of EOD reports
to ICU
·        
Review logs/email alerts to ensure E-Statements
files are sent to EMC, troubleshoot and resolve any issue in case these files
aren’t sent.
·        
Deliver Backup tapes to offsite library.
·        
Review problem log (Service Now, Marketplace,
FMS, Resolve IT) and respond to outstanding issues.
·        
Perform data center DCFC.
·        
Attend to end-users’ and General Requests
tickets.
Weekly:
·        
Represent TI in the appropriate forums (Weekly
SA Calls, Projects Calls, FMS Calls)
·        
Review Problem and Incident Management tickets’
weekly volumes
·        
Review problem log and respond to outstanding
issues
·        
Data Center DCFC
·        
Vulnerability and Threat Management (VTM)
Monthly:
·        
Print and ensure timely dispatch of EOM reports
to ICU
·        
Review software and hardware inventories
·        
Review stationery inventories (Printer
cartridges and Tally ribbons) and restock where needed
Occasionally:
·        
System’s UAT and Rollover.
·        
Oversee repair and general maintenance of
hardware (when done by service providers).
·        
Work with vendors such as Fintech to ensure
smooth running and operation of the local business applications (FinPay and
ChequePoint).
·        
Backup TI Head



Qualifications, Skills and
Experience:
·        
The applicant for the Citi Bank Technology
Infrastructure Officer job placement should preferably hold a University degree
in Information Technology or related field with an Upper Second or First Class
Award
·        
Professional certifications: MCDBA or equivalent
Oracle certification, MCSE or equivalent, CCNA or equivalent and ITIL
·        
A minimum of two years’ experience in a similar
position
·        
Extensive knowledge of systems and LAN/WAN
administration
·        
Good knowledge of the banking industry
·        
In-depth knowledge of IT principles and
practices.
·        
Excellent problem solving skills
·        
Innovation and initiative
·        
Good communication (oral and written) skills
·        
Good follow-up to ensure efficient problem
resolution
·        
Adeptness at acquisition of new skills needed
for expansion of knowledge base, since the TI field (especially systems
environment) is a fast evolving one.
·        
Ability to acquire multiple skills to
effectively perform in a hugely multi-tasked role
