About Us:
Finnish Refugee Council (FRC) is an international NGO promoting adult
education and community development among refugees and has been active in
Uganda since 1997 as an operational partner to Office of the Prime Minister and
United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR).
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Reception Duties; Reply to general
correspondence and enquiries, answer calls, take messages, provide relevant
information to visitors and callers, welcome visitors and take care of their
wellbeing, receive deliveries, keep track of staff & visitors etc.
Administration Duties;
photocopy, bind and print as requested by staff,
ensure that office has adequate office stationary, refreshments and cleaning
supplies, maintain office equipment, update office notice board, do filing,
supervise cleaner.
Project Administration Duties;
ensure accurate filing and tracking systems, support staff in maintaining paper
and electronic files, store project documents.
HR Administration Duties; maintain
staff personal files and records, post job adverts, receive applications and
arrange them for recruitment, ensure HR guidelines and polices are disseminated
to all staff, maintain records of key expiry dates etc.
Logistics Administration Duties; Provide
support in travel arrangements, book meeting venues, ensure supply of
stationary etc. for meetings.       

Qualifications, Skills and
The ideal candidate for the Finnish Refugee
Council (FRC) Receptionist / Office Assistant job opportunity must hold a University diploma in Administration /
Records Management / HR or other relevant field
A minimum of two years of experience in similar
Good administrative skills, excellent at keeping
order and solving problems.
Computer literate and be able to solve basic computer
software problems.
Ability to take responsibility and committed to
the aims of FRC.
Friendly, creative and proactive.
